    • You can now mark a record so you can center the display view on it when needed. See 'Marking Records' for more details on how to use this new feature.

    • A Shadow record is a special type of record. As it name implies, this record 'shadows' another record and does not operator independently. See 'Shadow Records' for more details on how to integrate and use Shadow records in your timelines.

  • The search feature has been improved to allow you to iterate over all the possible results. In previous releases, you had to scroll the view searching for the highlighted records found. With this release, the application will center the display on the first found record, with back and forth arrows to iterate through the set of results.

  • For the Record Management Window, we introduced the 'Pin' button. This button can be used to set whether that window will remain open or whether it will close after adding or editing a record.

  • We continue to progress with the migration of the application code from Apple's old Objective-C language to its new Swift language. As a result, part of the development time is being shifted to focus on improving the performance of the application. As we head in that direction, an update of the database schema (or format) was necessary. Performance improvement will become a more important development effort with the next releases.

  • As with previous releases, we continue to update the Manual to an HTML format with more tutorial videos.

  • Finally, a number of minor bugs have been fixed. We continue to encourage everyone to report bugs as this help us improve the operation of the application.

Release 6.0
  • Support for 'Undo'ing a transaction is added. The application will remember the last 5 transactions and allow you to undo those.

  • Exporting the timeline to a PDF format is now supported. This type of export is useful for when there is a need to print the timeline

  • A new component icon is now used to reflect the presence of URL components within the record. As a result, the Description component and the URL component will appear in their own popup window (instead of showing in the same popup as it was before this release).

  • The date format on the Axe of Time will change based on the granularity of the timeline. For example, if the granularity is 'Year' or greater, only the year value of the date will display with the Axe.

  • We modified a little bit the algorithm that determine where the records are displayed. The new algorithm ensures now that Notes and Heading are displayed under a Parent record. Originally, Note and Heading were displayed above Events regardless of the hierarchy of the records.

  • We continue to update the Manual to an HTML format with more tutorial videos.
